Miami Herald's Best Block Award in 2013 & Recipient of the 2013 Goldman Prize

Miami is abuzz about Espanola Way's unanimous sweeping of the coveted Best Block Award in 2013. The Goldman Prize is named after late Miami urbanist and developer Tony Goldman. This coveted award is given by a jury comprised of town planners, urban designers, and Miami's leading developers and it is vyed for by scores of urban blocks in Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and Palm Beach County. Readers of the Miami Herald nominate the neighborhoods they think are the best in the area and the jury selected Espanola Way unanimously.

"It jumps out at you right away," said juror Victor Dover, a Coral Gables-based town planner and urban designer in the Miami Herald. "There were places centered around nightlife and shopping, or art or music. There were places that had great architecture and walkability. But there were few that had all of those, and that made Española Way stand out. It’s got it all." Stay right in the heart of Espanola Way when you stay at The Clay Hotel. It will be a stay you remember for years to come, and we will welcome you back again and again, as we have so many guests for generations.
