Cuban Food: The Do’s and Don’ts

Cuban Food: The Do’s and Don’ts

April 02, 2018

Visiting Miami for the weekend? Celebrate Cuban culture by dipping into the scrumptious and authentic cuisine, only found in Miami. Check out our top list of do’s and don’ts:

Do: Have fun - When dining at a Cuban restaurant, the menu will likely be in English and Spanish--have fun by saying the names in Spanish too.

Don’t: Be Shy - You can stick to the classics or you can try something different. The servers are excellent guides and will direct you to something delicious and new. We suggest the ropa vieja, vaca frita, and media noche.

Do: Drink Coffee - Start the meal with a mojito and end it with a “cafecito.” It’s customary to share a coffee post-meal. Honor Miami’s cuban culture and enjoy this jolt of excitement and tradition.

For an unforgettable meal, head to the best Cuban restaurants in Miami: Havana 1957, Versailles, and Puerto Sagua are some of our favorites.

The Clay Hotel, 160 guest roms, Espanola Way-Miami Beach will begin extensive renovations July 9th and at that point will be closed to our guest. Our reservations system will be closed. We anticipate re-opening our Matanzas Building Wednesday, November 28th with a newly renovated addition to the Miami Beach's four-star boutique collection of hotels. We will continue to keep you posted. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to hosting you in the future. Kindest regards, The Management
